What is the Rodeson Ferrer Charitable Trust?
The Rodeson Ferrer Charitable Trust, abbreviated as RFCT, is a non-profit charitable trust that focuses on providing humanitarian aid to those affected by natural disasters in the Philippines and New Zealand, founded in late December 2025 by the Rodeson Ferrer, the owner of ZCA. Due to the trust being newly established, it is not currently registered nor recognised by the New Zealand Companies Office or the Philippine Government.
The RFCT is not owned nor administered by ZCA, but rather supported by the association.
Why was the Rodeson Ferrer Charitable Trust launched?
The RFCT was launched after Ferrer had the vision of starting a charity which helps and supports those who were harmed by natural disasters around the world. After successfully fundraising by busking to help those harmed by the flood and earthquakes in Cebu, he and some supporters donated around PHP₱3,000 to a private sector in Cebu City, which helped Ferrer distribute food to around 60 Filipinos for Christmas in 2025.
Is the RFCT only based in New Zealand and in the Philippines?
As of now, yes, the RFCT is currently only based in New Zealand and in the Philippines, but is willing to expand to more nations across the world—with Asia, North America and Oceania being the main priorities.
What has the RFCT achieved?
The RFCT has a few successful fundraising achievements for relief purposes after natural disasters, which two of the major moments were:
Raising NZD$89.10 (PHP₱3,000) for Philippine flood victims on 25 December, 2025
Raising NZD$715.30 for families of Mount Maunganui and Welcome Bay landslides on 31 January, 2026
How can I support the RFCT?
Unfortunately, since the RFCT is not registered nor recognised by the New Zealand Companies Office, there is no legal way to support nor donate to the charitable trust, unless you donate in person. The only source of income is manual fundraising by Ferrer and his community around New Zealand and the Philippines.
